20 Items to Add to Your Disneyland Packing List

Our Disneyland packing list consists of things that you may not be thinking you need, but are going to be thankful that you have with you once you get to the parks.

Here are 20 items to add to your Disneyland packing list:

1. Sunscreen

If you are flying, you are going to find that bringing a full-size suntan lotion is difficult because of TSA regulations.

No products found.

There are two ways to get around this: purchase travel-size sunscreen, a sunscreen stick, or purchase a regular-size sunscreen on Amazon and have it shipped to your resort.

2. Reusable Water Bottle

While water is free at counter service restaurants, there are water stations located throughout the park where you can refill your own water bottle.

No products found.

3. Power Strip for the Room

You can never have too many ways to charge your electronics and your hotel room probably won’t have enough outlets.

That is why we always bring our own.

No products found.

If you need to charge multiple devices, you will be so glad you have a powerstrip/ charging port.

4. Anti-Chafe Stick

You may not think you need to add this to your Disneyland packing list, but I swear that this is one of those things that is essential.

No products found.

These Body Glide sticks can be lifesavers for your feet and your thighs.

5. Hat/ Visor/ Sunglasses

It is sunny in California all year long. Do not go to Disneyland without something to shield your eyes and face from the sun!

No products found.

6. Swimsuit/ Water wings/ Goggles

If you are planning on swimming while you are on your Disneyland vacation, you will want to make sure that you have the things you need.

While towels are normally provided by your hotel, you don’t want to be without the other swimming essentials.

7. Nightlight

This is one of those things that everyone forgets to pack for Disneyland and is especially useful if you have small kids.

No products found.

Rooms can be dark and if you want to find the bathroom in the middle of the night, a portable nightlight that you can leave in the bathroom certainly helps!

8. Sound Machine

This is one of those things that we take everywhere we travel. No one wants to miss out on sleep because of noisy neighbors!

No products found.

While many hotels are sturdy, they are not soundproof! A good sound machine can really make all the difference in getting a sound sleep in a hotel.

9. Ziploc Bags

I can’t tell you how many times we’ve used these for various reasons.

They are great for packing wet clothes (for a variety of reasons), holding snacks, or just being used to protect electronics when on something like Grizzly River Run!

10. Portable Charger

You will be so glad you have this with you! You will be surprised how quickly your battery will go when you are in Disneyland.

No products found.

Between taking pictures, checking the app, and trying to connect with the Disneyland wifi, you will eat up your battery in a number of hours.

Be prepared by packing a powerful portable charger.

11. Lanyards/ Autograph Books

While you can buy these at the parks, I think you will find it far cheaper to buy ahead of your Disney Vacation.

12. Good pair of Walking Shoes & Flip Flops

Two things you will need when it comes to your feet are walking shoes and a pair of flip-flops if you are planning to go to the pool.

These are my favorite shoes for Disney!

13. Small Soft Cooler

If you want to carry cold water or snacks like applesauce or yogurt with you into the park, these small soft coolers are essential.

No products found.

Don’t try to bring in a hard cooler, Disney won’t let you!

14. Costumes

If your children want to dress up at the park, don’t forget their costumes.

No products found.

You are going to pay at least twice as much for a costume in the Disney parks.

15. Wet wipes and/or Hand Sanitizer

While Disneyland has plenty of bathrooms, it isn’t always convenient when you need a quick clean-up.

No products found.

Bring along some hand sanitizer or disposable wipes to keep those germs at bay.

16. Backpack

Pack an easy-to-carry traveling bag to take into the park.

No products found.

We prefer these backpacks because they are lightweight & have tons of pockets for storage.

17. Bandaids

More specifically, we not only pack regular band-aids but also Waterproof Blister Band-aids (just in case).

No products found.

18. Stain Remove Pen

If you plan to do laundry on vacation, be sure to pack some travel detergent (pods are great) otherwise bring a Tide Stain Pen so that you can treat a stain in a flash.

19. Laundry Bag

One thing on our Disney World packing list that you might not have thought about is something to hold your dirty clothes.

No products found.

Packing a laundry bag will give you a place for the entire family to dump their clothes at the end of the day!

20. MagicBands/Park Tickets

If there is one thing you don’t want to forget to pack, it is your Disney MagicBands or park tickets!

It is always a good idea to take a picture of the back of your park ticket just in case you were to misplace it.
