Disney Dream Cruise Ship Guide
As soon as you walk onboard the Disney Dream, you will be captivated by its stunning enormous atrium and beautiful details.
Disney Dream Atrium
The Disney Dream’s atrium features an Art Deco-style chandelier.
It is 24kt gold plated and has 88,680 Swarovski crystal beads and colorful glasswork
Every Disney Cruise Line ship has a Disney character statue and on the Disney Dream it is Admiral Donald.
Disney Dream Pool Deck
Donald’s Pool is the main family pool on the Disney Dream.
While not exactly large, the kids will enjoy being able to splash around and parents can enjoy sitting nearby.
There is also a large movie screen that plays Disney movies throughout the day (and at night) that guests can enjoy.
One of the highlights of the Disney Dream is the Aquaduck!
This 765-foot-long water coaster will even take you over the side of the ship!
Disney Dream Restaurants
Disney Cruise Line is known for its rotational dining where you change restaurants each night but keep the same waitstaff.
There are three main restaurants in the rotation: Enchanted Garden, Animator’s Palate, and Royal Palace.
Guests will either book early dining at 5:45 pm or late dining at 8:15 pm.
Enchanted Garden
Enchanted Garden is a restaurant inspired by the gardens of Versailles.
When you arrive, you will find white trellises, floral stained glass light fixtures, and a fountain in the center of the room with a Mickey Mouse statue at its pinnacle.
At breakfast and lunch, the restaurant is lit with a blue sky marking the day, but in the evening during dinner, the ceiling transitions from day to night with a constellation of twinkling stars.
Dinner at Enchanted Garden has wonderful meals like slow-roasted prime rib, pan-seared sea bass, and roasted wild boar tenderloin.
If you love soufflé, this is where you will find a Grand Marnier soufflé.
Along with that, you can enjoy a Tahitian vanilla crème brûlèe or mango cheesecake for dessert.
Animator’s Palate
Animator’s Palate brings the magic of Disney animation to life.
You’ll find scenes and characters from popular Disney and Pixar movies throughout the restaurants.
As you dine, the restaurant goes through a transformation.
The screens become a fish tank where guests will get a surprise visit from Crush, the sea turtle from “Finding Nemo.”
Meals at Animator’s Palate are just as good as the entertainment!
You will find such entrées as ginger-teriyaki tenderloin, Salmon or wild mushroom risotto.
Royal Palace
Royal Palace is royal dining at its best!
You will feel like a princess in this elegant dining room that has such decorative details as glass slippers, roses, tiaras and painted portraits of Disney princesses.
The Royal Palace fluted columns and iron railing work are taken straight from the “Cinderella” ballroom scene.
Wall sconces are designed to match those in “Beauty and the Beast.”
Dinner here is classical French cuisine with menu offerings such as Roasted rack of lamb and beef tenderloin with garlic shrimp.
Remy (Adult-exclusive fine dining)
Remy features a French menu with optional wine pairings.
Dinner Price is an additional charge per person, in addition to the cost of wine or other alcoholic beverages you might choose.
Remy also offers an elegant Champagne brunch on days at sea and days at port. The brunch is a six-course French-inspired meal with a selection of Champagne.
Brunch at Remy is also charged per person and includes one complimentary glass of Champagne. An optional Champagne pairing is offered at an additional charge per person.
Palo (Adult-exclusive fine dining)
Palo is a sophisticated Italian restaurant that has beautiful views.
Meals begin with cold and hot antipasti selections. Main dishes include fresh pasta and seafood and meats prepared with Italian touches.
Desserts include classic tiramisù, chocolate soufflé and panna cotta with a strawberry-basil sorbet.
Palo also offers an adult-only Champagne brunch on days at sea and while in port.
The brunch features Palo’s signature pizzas, made-to-order entrées, seafood, a selection of international cheeses, fresh bread and pastries, and desserts, served with champagne and mimosas
Reservations are required for all Palo dining experiences. There is an additional charge for dinner and brunch, plus the cost of alcoholic beverages.
Cabanas Buffet
Cabanas food court is a free-flow buffet where guests can choose from a variety of food options for breakfast & lunch.
Inspiration for the decor of Cabanas comes from “Finding Nemo.” guests will find two hand-crafted mosaic tile walls depicting an underwater scene from the animated movie.
For breakfast, you will find a full American buffet with an omelet station.
At lunch, there is everything from soups & salads to Indian specialties & Asian-inspired stir fry. There are even carving stations.
While most of the seating is indoors (with beautiful ocean views), there is also a seating area on the deck.
Quick Service Poolside Options
For those who prefer casual dining at your own time, there are several options located on the pool deck:
- Luigi’s Pizza- serves pizza by the slice
- Tow Mater’s Grill- chicken tenders, grilled burgers and sausages.
- Fillmore’s Favorites- Made-to-order Grilled Sandwiches and Paninis
- Flo’s Cafe has salads and sandwich wraps.
- Eye Scream Ice Cream offers soft-serve ice cream

Broadway Style Entertainment
Disney is known for phenomenal entertainment and you will get to experience a live show most nights on your Disney Cruise.
Each cruise ship has three main Broadway-caliber shows that take place at Walt Disney Theatre.
The Disney Dream has Beauty and the Beast, The Golden Mickeys and Disney’s Believe.
Disney Cruise Pirate Night
There is even a Pirate Night that takes place only on the Disney Cruise Line.
This night is filled with pirate-themed fun… pirate meet & greets, pirate food, and a Pirate show.

Disney Movies at Sea

Kids Clubs on the Disney Dream
Disney’s Oceaneer Club and Lab is built for kids 3-12 years old.
This a child-friendly oasis that transports them to magical lands filled with arts, crafts, storytelling, music, dancing and more.
The Oceaneer Club features uniquely themed areas inspired by Disney Toy Story, Fairies and Superheroes.
Disney’s Oceaneer Lab has a pirate theme, taking preschoolers on a nautical journey of discovery, exploration and adventure.
Here, kids can do science experiments, meet Disney characters, and even have a dance party on a magic play floor!
Edge is the perfect place for kids 11 to 14.
This space has plenty of comfy places to hang out without the parents!
There is an illuminated dance floor, karaoke machines, a gaming room, photo booths and more!
Vibe is the teen hangout spot! This is where kids 14-17 will want to spend some time.
Vibe has the look and feel of a hip urban night spot, with multiple areas, a secret entrance.
Teens can watch movies or play video games on a 103ʺ LCD screen with digital surround sound.
Outside, teens have their own private deck area to catch some rays and there is even their very own spa area (extra cost for spa services).

Types of Disney Dream Staterooms
There are four types of Disney Dream Staterooms: Concierge, Verandah, Oceanview & Inside and about 10 different categories of rooms including handicap accessible staterooms.
To keep things simple, this guide will only include the four major Disney Dream stateroom levels.
Interior Stateroom
This is one of the smallest rooms on the ship with 169-204 square feet and has no view of the ocean.
It can sleep 3-4 with one Queen-size bed a single convertible sofa & pull-down bed.
One of the unique features for interior staterooms is the virtual porthole.
This porthole comes alive during the day and evening, allowing guests to catch glimpses of various Disney characters!
One of the benefits (besides price) is that interior rooms usually do not have as much sway as other rooms because of where they are located on the ship.
Oceanview Stateroom
At 204-241 square feet, Oceanview Staterooms can sleep between 4-5 people.
There is a Queen-size bed, a single convertible sofa, pull-down bed.
For additional light and views of outside there will either be one large porthole window or one or two small porthole windows.
Oceanview Stateroom with Verandah
Slightly larger than the Oceanview rooms, those with verandahs have 246-299 square feet.
Each room sleeps 3-4 with a Queen-size bed, single convertible sofa, pull-down bed and split bath.
These rooms offer the added feature of outside space that features one or two chairs and a small table.
Concierge Family Oceanview Stateroom with Verandah
At 306 square feet, this room sleeps 5 quite comfortably.
There is a Queen-size bed, a double convertible sofa, and a pull-down bed.
The private verandah also adds some extra outdoor space.
The reason this Disney Dream Stateroom is so much more expensive is due to the concierge service that is included and the following special features:
- Down Duvets
- Choice of hypoallergenic, feather and therapeutic memory foam pillows
- Personal Robe and Slippers
- Complimentary Wi-Fi Internet Service: Enjoy up to 100 MB at no extra charge. (Usage fees apply after 100 MB.)
All guests staying in a Concierge-level stateroom on the Disney Dream have access to the Concierge Lounge.
This private space gives guests an optional place to relax and unwind.
They can watch TV, access the internet and enjoy complimentary food and nonalcoholic beverages throughout the day.
There is also a private sun deck for concierge members to enjoy with cushioned lounge chairs, cool water misters, and a refreshment bar.
Disney Cruise Line Split Baths
All Disney Dream staterooms feature split bathrooms.
What this means is that there are two separate bath spaces.
One side features a sink and toilet and the other features a sink and shower.
Included in All Disney Dream Staterooms
There are some items you will find in all the Disney Dream Staterooms:
