What To Expect During Halloween Time at Disneyland
If you are looking for a spooky good time this fall and are in California, head over to Halloween Time at Disneyland. Taking place August 22 through October 31, 2025, Disneyland Park will be filled with Halloween-themed décor, fun meet & greets, and specialty food and beverage offerings!
There are so many things to experience at Disneyland Halloween Time that you won’t have any trouble keeping busy!
Things to Experience at Halloween Time at Disneyland
Halloween Time at Disneyland begins on Main Street, U.S.A., where you will find a giant Mickey Mouse jack-o’-lantern and a Pumpkin Festival.
During the day, you will find all sorts of holiday decorations featuring Halloween items like jack-o-lanterns, candy corn-colored banners, and spooky window displays.
At night, you’ll find things lit up in yellow, purple, green and orange glowing lights!
At night, you will also be able to see Halloween Scream, a haunting projection show on Sleeping Beauty Castle that is filled with special effects and Disney Villains like Hades and Ursula.
Haunted Mansion becomes Haunted Mansion Holiday! This is a take on “Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas.”
Space Mountain in Tomorrowland becomes Space Mountain Ghost Galaxy.
Guests on board the speeding Space Mountain vehicles are thrust into a ghostly galaxy where they will hear eerie screams & spooky sound effects.
During Disneyland’s Halloween Time, Guests will encounter the colorful Día de los Muertos tribute in Frontierland.
This exhibit features a musical trio of iconic skeleton figurines and brightly colored flowers
There will be plenty of character meet & greets at Halloween Time at Disneyland, including Jack Skellington (Royal Courtyard).
Don’t forget to bring something for Disney characters to sign!
This is a time when you will find villains like Gaston, Maleficent, Cruella de Vil, Lady Tremaine, and Anastasia. & Drizella.

Halloween at California Adventure
A hand-animated dimensional figure of Miguel from Pixar Animation Studios’ Coco will appear during Plaza de la Familia at Disney California Adventure park.
At Disney Theater, kids and kids at heart can experience Mickey’s Trick and Treat show, where Mickey Mouse and his pals dress up to celebrate Halloween.
Radiator Springs turns into Radiator Screams — featuring Halloween overlays like Luigi’s Honkin’ Haul-O-Ween and Mater’s Graveyard JamBOOree.
Lightning McQueen and his friends will be in their creative car-stumes!
Avengers Campus features Guardians of the Galaxy – Monsters After Dark, each afternoon. Guests can check the Disneyland app or Disneyland.com for the timing of this transformation.
During the Halloween season, guests will find that Groot has been left behind in the Collector’s Fortress, which is overrun with monsters. In a thrilling chase, you and your friends must team up with Rocket to distract the beasts and escape the chaos with Groot before they catch you!
You never know what you might encounter as you go, so keep your wits about you! There will be many different characters to meet!

Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit
Available at both parks, guests can purchase an activity map to search for Disney-themed pumpkins hidden in Disneyland, Disney California Adventure and Downtown Disney District.

Oogie Boogie Bash 2025
This special Disney Halloween After Hours Party takes place at Disney California Adventure select nights from Aug. 17 through Oct. 31!
This party features plenty of treat trails and spooky events that the entire family will love!
Guests can creep through Villains Grove at Redwood Creek Challenge Trail. Here they will experience:
- Frollo’s Sanctuary – Head into an otherworldly cathedral of trees infused with incense smells and chanting voices.
- Maleficent’s Will – Roam through a region replete with eerie ravens, thorn-spiked vines and a seemingly spellbound waterfall of cascading color!
- Queen of Hearts Garden – Wander ‘round a charming garden of roses that paint themselves red right before your eyes!
- Scar’s Elephant Graveyard – Descend into a vast expanse that echoes with hyena laughter!
- Dr. Facilier’s Friends on the Other Side – Summoned by the great beyond, shadowy hands and colorful spells lure Guests deeper into the grove’s darkest corners.
- The Wicked Queen’s Lightning Forest – See the forest come alive as an electrifying storm flashes from branch to branch.
- Home of the Wisps – Watch these winged caretakers guide Guests to safety amid a magical bastion of endless light.
- Dawn – Escape in the nick of time as flickering lanterns lead the way toward a brilliant sunrise and the conclusion of this mythical trip!
A must-experience event is the “Frightfully Fun Parade”
It begins when the Headless Horseman of Sleepy Hollow carries a flickering jack-o-lantern to announce the fun that will follow.
Guests will see swirling ballroom dancers, ominous gravediggers, and a trio of hitchhiking ghosts, along with floats carrying all your favorite Disney characters and some ominous villains.
Admission to the after-hours event also includes entry to Disney California Adventure park three hours before the party begins and unlimited Disney PhotoPass digital photo downloads from the party.
