If you have a Marvel fan in your house, I’m sure that they have already planned to go see Thor: Ragnarok when it opens this week! We were able to see Thor: Ragnarok at a pre-screening. Without giving too much away, what I can tell you is that it is a great mix of action, adventure, and comedy.
In Thor Ragnarok, we find Thor imprisoned on the other side of the universe by Surtur, who is bent on creating an armageddon for Asgard. Once he escapes and returns home, he finds that his father has vanished and his brother has begun impersonating his father and usurped control of the planet. The duo go on a journey in search of their father and once they find him, Thor learns of a sister he has never met, Hela, and her plan to destroy the entire Asgardian civilization. It is up to Thor to stop her before it is too late.
What you can expect:
- Great action sequences including numerous fight scenes
- Thor to be without his hammer
- To learn where Hulk has been all this time (since Avengers: Age of Ultron)
- To see Dr. Strange
- To learn the backstory of Odin
The movie will not disappoint Marvel Fans. Loose ends from previous movies will be tied up, there are great dramatic and action sequences and it is quite funny! Thor: Ragnarok is rated PG-13 mainly for the violence.
