If you are planning a trip to Hollywood Studios, you can expect to find a lot of new experiences! Between Galaxy’s Edge and the NEW Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway, you are in for a great time! Wondering how to make the most of your Hollywood Studios Fastpass reservations?
First, you need to understand that Hollywood Studios uses a Fastpass Tier System.
This is done so that people spread out their time on the most popular rides.
Hollywood Studios Fastpass Tier 1 Rides & Attractions (Choose 1)
- Slinky Dog Dash
- Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway
- Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run
Hollywood Studios Fastpass Tier 2 Rides & Attractions (Choose 2)
Hollywood Studios Fastpass Reservations to Make
When looking at the above Hollywood Studios Fastpass tier, you are going to notice that Tier 1 has three of the most popular rides at Hollywood Studios.
If you want to ride them all, you are going to have to do some careful planning!
We suggest that you choose Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run as your Tier One Fastpass.
It is by far, the best “bang for your buck. ”
What I mean by this is that the lines for this ride can be ridiculous and because you will most likely want to ride this with your family as it is a group experience ride.
While it does have a single rider line option, it just isn’t the same as riding it with people you know.
For Tier 2, it would really depend on your party.
If you are thrill seekers, I would suggest getting Fastpasses for Tower of Terror, Rock n Roller Coaster or Star Tours.
Those travelling with younger kids might enjoy the experience of Toy Story Mania, Star Tours or Beauty and the Beast LIVE.
The rides & attractions on this list that really NEVER need a Fastpass are Voyage of the Little Mermaid, Frozen Sing-Along Celebration, Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular, Muppet Vision 3D and Fantasmic!
Alien Swirling Saucers barely has a wait and honestly, it isn’t worth using a Fastpass to ride, thus not included on this list.
Currently, there is not a FastPass option for Star Wars Rise of the Resistance in Hollywood Studios. Instead, you book a time through the My Disney Experience App.
Plan for riding all of the Hollywood Studios Fastpass Tier One Rides
- Make Fastpass Reservations for Ride A
- Arrive at Hollywood Studios prior to opening to line up for Ride B.
- Save Ride C for the end of the night once the park begins to die down and lines are shorter.
Don’t count on getting to ride another Tier 1 ride after you use your original 3 Fastpasses for the day. Usually, most of the good Fastpasses are gone by early afternoon and the only things left are for the shows.
Are you planning to go to Hollywood Studios this year? How do you plan on using your Fastpasses?
