When you book a vacation at a Walt Disney World Resort, each person in your party will get a Disney MagicBand. You will go onto the My Disney Experience site and choose the color of your band. Colors are very limited and you might find some of them pretty boring.

No worries, you have some options to make your MagicBand really stand out & be unique. We’ve come up with a great way to get Disney MagicBand customization with Nail Polish.

Yes, you read that right, you can actually paint your MagicBand with nail polish to get a customized look!

  1. Tape off the edges off your Magic Band if you feel like you are not a neat painter.  Nail polish brushes are pretty easy to use, but you’ll want to use tape if you are worried about getting it on the gray edges of the bands.
  2. Paint your first coat of polish. It might not give you full coverage, and that’s okay because you are going to do a second coat.
  3. Paint your second coat of polish once the first coat has fully dried.
  4. After you are sure that the nail polish coat is totally dry, apply a clear acrylic spray. This will keep the paint from chipping.

This project takes about 30 minutes to complete and gives you a one of a kind look for your MagicBand.

Now, of course, you can buy character MagicBands or covers & button attachments to help it stand out, but if you want to save money, use something you already have, and do some Disney MagicBand customization with Nail Polish.

I didn't have any problems with flaking. You could use a clear top coat or spray with a clear acrylic spray.

Super cute!! Did it start flaking off after being in the pool or shower? Would you suggest a clear top coat to help seal it? Or no? Thanks!!

Does it not mess up the mechanics to use it?

No, remember that these are waterproof, so very sturdy.

I would never have thought of doing that. Neat way to make them stand out from the rest. Thanks for sharing with us at Creatively Crafty :) #ccbg
