Today, we finally have information on the Disneyland reopening! All of Disneyland Resort & Parks will reopen in phases during July, just in time to celebrate the parks 65th anniversary. Here is what we know:
Disneyland Reopening: What You Can Expect
Downtown Disney District will begin reopening on July 9
You can expect to find them promoting physical distancing and keeping an eye on cleanliness throughout the Downtown Disney District.
Disneyland park and Disney California Adventure park will reopen on
Because theme park capacity will be significantly limited to comply with governmental requirements and promote physical distancing, you can expect the Disneyland Resort to follow the standards set by Disney World’s reopening.
There will be a new theme park reservation system in order to limit attendance at the parks.
Do not expect to just show up at the gates and be able to get a ticket.
All guests, including Annual Passholders, will have to reserve a time to enter the Disneyland parks.
Theme park reservations will be subject to availability and you can expect that these tickets are going to be hard to get!
At this time, there will also be a temporary pause on new ticket sales and Annual Passport sales and renewals.
While we don’t have exact details yet, we can expect that Disneyland will take the following measures since we have already seen them doing it as Disney World in Florida:
Parades & night time shows, will be postponed.
You will also no longer be able to do character meet & greets or extra experiences like a makeover at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique.
Those who love the Disney Fastpass system will be disappointed to find that Fastpasses have been stopped during this time of social distancing so that both line areas can be utilized for crowd control.
Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa and Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel will reopen on July 23
With guests health and safety at the forefront, you will find that Disneyland Resorts will have plans to support physical distancing and put in place increased cleaning measures.
Once we get the details on this, we will give more information.
I know a lot of people are concerned because there has been no word on Disneyland Hotel.
Because this is a phased reopening, only Disneyland’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa and Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel are part of the first stage of hotel reopening.
We can expect that Disneyland Hotel will reopen at some point and once we get a date, we will update this post.
Will You Have to Wear Masks at Disneyland?
We have already seen that Disney is requiring everyone over the age of three to wear them at Disney World parks, so I would imagine that this will be the case for Disneyland as well.
Are you excited to get back to Disneyland?
