All Disney World parks allow guests to use the Disney Fastpass System, but three of the four Disney World parks use a tier system for Fastpasses. These tiers place rides in different groupings based on popularity. It is important that you understand all of the different Disney World Fastpass Tiers and the best strategy in order to ride what you want.

The three parks that have Fastpass Tiers are Animal Kingdom, EPCOT and Hollywood Studios.

Each of these parks has two tiers, and Disney requires you to choose one ride from the first tier and two rides from the second.

You will find each parks Fastpass Tiers along with the strategies on how to best use the Fastpasses in order to ride the more popular rides at each park.

How to Book Disney World Fastpasses in Advance

When it comes to choosing your Disney World Fastpasses, you are going to want to get started early!

If you are staying at a Disney World Resort, you can book FastPasses 60 days in advance of the first day of your stay.

If you’re not staying at a Disney resort, you won’t be able to book your Fastpasses until 30 days in advance of your park visit.

Booking Disney World Fastpasses

At the point when you can book your Disney Fastpasses, you are going to do so using your My Disney Experience app.

Open the app and in the top right corner, you will hover over MY DISNEY EXPERIENCE.

The next screen that appears wants you to select the day that you would like to choose FastPasses for and the park you plan on going to on that day.

You will have to have your schedule determined prior to making your Fastpasses. Make sure that you know which park you plan to visit on each day of your trip before you start the process of making your Fastpass reservations.

Once you choose your date & park, you will then determine which people in your party will be part of the Fastpass reservations that you are making.

You can choose one person, two people or your entire party.

Once you have the people chosen, you will then be able to choose the ride or attraction & a time.

When it comes to the Disney World parks with Tiers, you will be shown only those rides that are available in that specific tier.

For all four of the parks, you will be able to choose three Fastpasses per person, per day.

Disney uses the Fastpass system for crowd control. If everyone going to the parks tried to ride the same ride at the same time, it would be chaotic. Instead, they devised this system to help spread guests through out the park while also helping guests avoid standing in lines for each & every ride.
