When using the Disney FastPass System, you will have two different options on how to book your FastPasses. You can use your cell phone and go through the My Disney Experience App or use one of the Disney Fastpass Kiosks in the park.

We have found that the My Disney Experience App sometimes has glitches, so we prefer to use the actual FastPass Plus Kiosk locations to make any changes or to check FastPass availability.

If you are using the FastPass system while at the Disney parks, you might want to know where to find the FastPass kiosks. This will prevent you from racing from one part of the park to another aimlessly searching for them.

We have found that they aren’t always easy to spot.

How to Use the Fastpass Kiosk

Swipe your MagicBand or scan your Disney park ticket.  You will be able to view your current Fastpasses (if you have them) and there will be an option to delete them.

You only want to delete a Fastpass if you are absolutely sure that you aren’t going to use it. Once it is deleted, you will be able to search for a replacement.

You will have to choose a time for the replacement and then the kiosk will show you what is available during that time.

Don’t be surprised if you don’t find any of the popular rides available. Usually, all the most popular rides are booked well in advance.

Be sure to save your new Fastpass selection prior to exiting.

If at any time you have trouble accessing your account through the Disney FastPass Kiosk system, you can contact a Cast Member on duty. There will be a cast member at all Disney FastPass Kiosk locations.

Love the new system. With the addition of park hopping and more fastpasses after the first three are used it is so much better. Disney always does things right and this is no exception. Those complaining of kiosk lines obviously don't know where the ones without lines are. I'm keeping that to myself. Lol.

I am so glad that they are adding the extra fast passes as well. Three is just not enough! What I did see, however, was that Fast Pass return lines were longer than normal. This could be due to the fact that everyone tries to get to their fast pass destination at the exact time they are open to ride. Did you find this to be the case?

The system is not user friendly online. Wouldn't link 2 of 6 tickets so that required a visit to a kiosk and a 45 minute wait in line to use the kiosk! Then when we finally got to the kiosk, what we wanted no longer had any fast passes available. What a poorly planned program.

Just experienced the "new" fastpass system with Disney. All I can say is we felt gipped. In the past you could obtain many throughout the day but with the new system three is your max and the times were utterly ridiculous. At 10:00 in the morning our first pass was scheduled for 3:45, then 6:45 and finally 9:45. This is under the assumption we were staying the entire day. Then when we went to use our fast pass and the wait lines were reasonable and a fast pass was not needed. Of course we could cash them in at a friendly kiosk that you have to wait at AGAIN. The new system is not better! It limits you even more! I hope they return to the old system and then we will return again.

so how does it work for people who are not staying at a Disney resort? Do we still use the old fast pass system or do we not get the privilege of the fast pass?

When we called Disney, we were told that the paper fastpass system would still be available for those guests not using MagicBands.

Ah, FastPass® and the new FastPass® Kiosks,

Preliminary observations: Ok, we’re booked with the MagicBands® and now you can go online to do the FastPass®. Good idea, right? However………………….

The rides are categorized like the old ticket system with “E” tickets being the most popular rides (EPCOT: TestTrack, Soarin’) As a “Resort Guest” on line, you can only pick one E ride per day.

But, if you go to the kiosks in person (limited kiosks) you can pick 3 E rides for all 3 FastPass® selections. If this is the case, then it seems resort guests are being penalized and guests will not select fast passes on-line for that reason. And as a “ParkHopper”, I’m being penalized even further.

Now Resort Guests will wait to get to the park and, moreover, everyone will be booking all three FastPass® tickets in person at one time. This is going to create lines at the kiosks.

This sounds all rather disappointing and ill-conceived. I thought Disney was better organized than this.

Yes, Epcot and Hollywood Studios have limits to FastPass+. I wasn't aware that there was a difference in what you can access via kiosk & online. That doesn't seem fair at all because Disney is really pushing using the online system. I hope that now that the FastPass+ system is fully rolled out that they will fix these flaws.
