Best Time to Visit Disneyland Paris

Disneyland Paris is a favorite tourist destination for families in Europe. Located just outside of Paris, France, it consists of two main theme parks, Disneyland Park and Walt Disney Studios Park. Just like the parks in the US, Disneyland Paris can be crowded. That’s why it helps to know the best time to visit Disneyland Paris.

The Best Time to Visit Disneyland Paris

When people ask me about the best time to visit Disneyland Paris, it can be a struggle to answer.

What works for one person’s schedule, doesn’t work for another so there isn’t a clear answer.

It is best to look at factors that can influence the best time to visit this magical destination to see if there is a time of year that best works for your situation.

One of the main factors to consider when planning a trip to Disneyland Paris is the weather.

The park experiences a temperate climate, with hot summers and cold winters.

The peak season for visitors is during the summer months, from June to August when the weather is warm and sunny.

However, this also means that the park can get very crowded during these months, with long lines and wait times for popular attractions.

If you prefer to avoid large crowds, it may be best to visit Disneyland Paris during the spring or fall when the weather is milder and the park is less busy.

And while the fall can be lower crowds, you also need to factor in events.

Disneyland Paris hosts several special events throughout the year, which can affect crowds and overall experience.

The fall months are great, but the parks get very crowded during the Disney Halloween Festival at Disneyland Paris in October.

Christmas is a beautiful time to visit Disneyland Paris, but again, because of the Christmas events in November and December, the parks can be filled.

When it comes to the time of year you visit, you also have to consider the Disneyland Paris Park hours

The park hours at Disneyland Paris vary depending on the season.

During the summer months, the parks are open longer, with some attractions staying open until late.

On the other hand, during the off-season, the parks may close earlier and operate on a reduced schedule.

If you want to make the most of your visit and experience all the attractions and shows, it’s best to check the park hours beforehand and plan accordingly.

Visiting Disneyland Paris during the Off-Season

January through March are typically the slow season for Disneyland Paris.

Not only will you avoid large crowds, but you may also find lower prices for Disneyland Paris Resorts and Disneyland Paris Park tickets.

Additionally, with fewer visitors in the off-season, you’ll have a better chance of experiencing all the attractions and shows without long wait times.

Just understand that if you visit during this time of the year that it will be cold.

You will need to make sure that you pack accordingly!

My Favorite Time of Year to Visit Disneyland Paris

While not the cheapest time to visit the Disneyland Paris parks, early May is a great alternative.

I love visiting Disneyland Paris in May because the French are still in school and peak travel season in Europe doesn’t begin until June.

This means that crowds are low, but it can also mean that they aren’t fully staffed.

We’ve seen parts of the park not be operational because the university students (who is the majority of the workforce) have yet to arrive.

And while it is still cool outside, as long as you wear jeans and a sweatshirt it won’t be too bad! Just make sure you pack a rain jacket because it rains a lot in May.

No matter when you visit Disneyland Paris, you are sure to have a great time! Just make sure that you give yourself enough time to visit both parks!
