Those planning a trip to Disney World in 2018 & taking part in the Disney Dining plan will notice that they will have several new beverage options! Guests under 21 years of age will now be able to choose one non-alcoholic beverage (including specialty beverages where offered). Those guests of drinking age (21+ with id) will be able to choose either one non-alcoholic beverage OR one mixed cocktail, beer, or wine with their quick service & table service meals.
A single-serving non-alcoholic beverage will include items such as:
- Artisanal Milkshakes
- Fresh Smoothies
- Premium Hot Chocolate
- Soda, Coffee or Tea
A single-serving alcoholic beverage includes items such as:
- Beer or Cider
- Wine or Sangria
- Mixed Drinks and Specialty Cocktails
The 2018 Disney Dining Plan comes in three types: Quick Service, Standard and Deluxe. Here is the break down for what you get with each type of plan:
- Magic Your Way Package Plus Quick Service Dining. This plan offers 2 quick-service meals and 2 snacks per person, per day with one refillable mug. Prices per night: $52.50 adult/ $21.75 child
- Magic Your Way Package Plus Dining. This plan offers 1 table-service meal, 1 quick-service meal and 2 snacks per person, per day with one refillable mug. Prices per night: $75.49 adult/ $25.76 child
- Magic Your Way Package Plus Deluxe Dining. This plan offers 3 meals and 2 snacks per person, per day with one refillable mug. Prices per night: $116.24 adult/ $39.99 child
When choosing a dining package, make sure that you choose the one that is best for your family. We are pleased that the 2018 Disney Dining Plan offers a new selection of beverage choices, but did notice that the price of the 2018 Disney Dining Plan is also on average 8% more than the previous year. I’m sure this is based on cost of food increases, but it also because Disney wanted to pad the cost of the new additions.
What are your thoughts about the changes made for 2018?
