If you only have one day to spend it Magic Kingdom, you will want to get the most out of your experience. Plan your trip ahead of time and make your own must do list for Magic Kingdom. There is no way you will be able to do & see EVERYTHING in one day but if you take advantage of FastPasses and Extra Park Magic Hours, you will be able to pack in a good bit of fun!
Avoid booking FastPass rides first thing in the morning. You are better served to go ahead and get in line for something not on your FastPass list but that you know is popular. The line is MUCH shorter when the park initially opens, especially if it is a day when Disney Resort guests get into the park early. Then stack your FastPasses as close together as you can. Once you are done with the 3rd FastPass, you can book individual FastPasses one by one at a Kiosk or on your My Disney Experience App.
Our Must Do List for Magic Kingdom:
- Splash Mountain (Fast Pass)
- Seven Dwarfs Mine Train (Fast Pass)
- Thunder Mountain Railroad (Fast Pass)
- Pirates of Caribbean
- It’s a Small World
- Space Mountain
- Haunted Mansion
- Astro Orbiter
- Festival of Fantasy Parade
- Fireworks Show
Aside from these, my list of personal favorites includes:
12. Enchanted Tales with Belle (if you have kids)
13. Dumbo or Aladdin’s Magic Carpets (because they are pretty much the same)
15. Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin
16. Monsters Inc Laugh Floor
17. Carousel of Progress
18. People Mover
19. Journey of the Little Mermaid
20. Tea Cups
If you want to meet & greet characters, I always find it better when you can do a character meal, so you aren’t wasting precious park time in lines. Are you someone who doesn’t like rides? Don’t worry. There is plenty of things to do at Magic Kingdom that aren’t rides.
