If you haven’t yet had a chance to check out Disney’s Art of Animation resort, I wanted to give you an idea of what you can expect. First of all, a is sectioned into different areas; Finding Nemo, Cars, The Lion King and The Little Mermaid. Three of the four sections (Finding Nemo, Cars, The Lion King) have family suites that will sleep up to 6 people (1 Queen Bed and 1 Double-Size Table Bed and 1 Double-Size Sleeper Sofa). The Art of Animation Little Mermaid Rooms are the size of a traditional standard room (2 Double Beds or 1 King) and are perfect if you have a little girl who adores Ariel!
Art of Animation Little Mermaid Rooms
Headboards on the double beds are shaped like clam shells, Flounder & Sebastian on the wall. Even a picture of Prince Eric at the Helm of a ship. Doesn’t get more Little Mermaid than this! Oh, and notice the pearl on the clam shell? It lights up! How cool is it that the Disney Imagineers thought to include this little detail! It’s the little things that make the room so special; like an Octopus to hang your jacket or purse on or dancing under water creatures on the bathroom curtain. Even the carpet makes you feel like your are under the sea!
Ariel can be found on the shower curtain and when you pull it back to step into the shower, you feel like you’ve stepped right into her under sea world. They really were right on the mark with the overall design & details in these rooms.
We absolutely loved the Art of Animation Little Mermaid rooms and it was worth the extra cost to stay at this Value resort as opposed to the others. If you have little girls, they will be over-the-moon in the Little Mermaid rooms!
