Thinking back to my childhood, I can say with certainty that my trips to Magic Kingdom almost always included a ride aboard Dumbo. This photo, taken around 1980 shows the Dumbo ride as it once was. While I’m sure it was just as fun to ride back then, now the NEW Dumbo in the Magic Kingdom’s renovated Fantasyland is much more visually stunning.
The colors on the New Dumbo are truly amazing! The bright reds, yellows and blues pop with color and really make you feel like you are at a circus, under The Big Top!

You really need to ride this more than once to be able to take in all the details that the Disney Imagineers have worked into the ride. When you reach the top of the Dumbo ride, take notice of the precious golden storks carrying babies!
Before take off or once you land, notice how the Dumbo story unfolds in the center of the ride. Spouts mimicking the trunks of the Elephants squirting water also adorn the ride.
TIP: Dumbo is a Fast Pass ride. Until the New Fantasyland is complete, you can find Fast Passes for Dumbo located near the Winnie the Pooh ride.
What is your favorite part of the new Dumbo ride?

Visiting you from SITS. I love your site! I’m chomping at the bit and counting the days until we can take both our boys to DL. We used to live in Los Angeles so my husband and I tried to make it to DL at least twice a year.
I love the Dumbo ride…then and now. It’s so beautiful now. Great post.
