Agent P’s World Showcase Adventure at Epcot Review

Agent P's World Showcase AdventureWhile at Epcot last week, we got to try out the NEW Agent P’s World Showcase Adventure! If you have played the former Kim Possible game, Agent P is very similar in that you are on a mission and use the same cell phone type apparatus.

You can become an official agent in one of two locations; on the outskirts of the World Showcase or in Norway. Cast members will help you get started and it is in your first location that you choose the country (Norway, Japan, UK, or Germany) in which your adventure will begin. Once you reach your initial destination, you will get instructions via cell phone on how next to proceed.

Agent P ShowcaseWe began our mission in the UK and were taken to about 5 different locations in the UK section through the course of the adventure. While the kids enjoyed bouncing from place to place, it can be a bit daunting for parents. If you plan to play Agent P’s World Showcase Adventure, you really need to have some time and flexibility in your schedule because it was our experience that just one country alone could take up to one hour to get through all the tasks.

What the kids enjoyed about Agent P’s World Showcase Adventure is that it isn’t simply going from one location to another, but you actually had tasks to complete like locating a golf ball and bringing to a store where you would have to place it in a machine which would “self destruct” after you leave or telling a cast member a secret phrase in which they would respond by giving you a bag of tea which contained a clue you needed to get to the next challenge.

Tip: Once you agree to go to a certain country, you are locked in so be sure you know which one you want to spend that much time in. And whatever you do, do press the END button because that will log you out of the entire adventure and you will have to go back where you started to get the phone reactivated.

Have you played Agent P’s World Showcase Adventure? If so, what was your experience?

We were at EPCOT at the beginning of December 2012 and did the Agent P’s scavenger hunt. My oldest son is 9, and absolutely loved it. He and his dad went back a second day to finish up the remaining of the countries. I cannot say enough about how amazing this attraction is. It is so creative, so well thought out. In the UK, the clerk in the one store, who was one of the points of the scavenger hunt, gave my son a tea bag and mentioned to him not to blow her “cover”. Kudos to the brains who created this!

It is a lot of fun. Our kids have done it twice, but unfortunately the last time, they had a few bugs in the system and we couldn’t finish Norway. I am amazed at how they get all the hidden clues to work the way they do. Simply amazing!
